The oats, almonds, and this little bit of flour provide just the right amount of binding. The melting sugar and butter give them that spread, but once cooled to room temp, deliver excellent, crispy disks of sweet magic. See how it works for yourself ;)

A friend of mine from long ago used to make a very similar looking cookie, she called them Melting Lace cookies. They were so good, but I never got the recipe and I’ve lost touch with that friend. You’ve saved the day with this cookie recipe - thank you!!!!

Is it really only 1tbsp of flour? Wouldn't that make them too liquid?
